Mawelisa Primary School is located in the Rombo District on the Eastern side of Mt. Kilimanjaro.  The school has around 300 students, 170 girls and 130 boys.  We are aiming to raise Tshs.35,000,000 to provide some basic needs of which Mawelisa is in dire need:  to build toilets, refurbish classrooms and help with their water supply with a 10,000 liter tank. Funds for the Centre will be raised from the contributions of Summit Trails, Mt. Kilimanjaro National Park and Kibo Palace Hotel, who are donating up to 50% of their fees for each climber!

5 Day Marangu Route Climb

Known as the “Coca-Cola” route, the Marangu route approaches Kilimanjaro from the southeast. It is the oldest, most well established route. Many favor the Marangu route because it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain, given its gradual slope and direct path.
