Mountaineering nutrition:

This can be tricky at high altitude, because altitude suppresses your appetite.

We always try to maintain ·

40% carbs , 30% protein ,  30% fat

MOST RECOMMENDED SNACKS:

  • Cashews
  • Peanuts
  • Trail mix with lots of Nuts and Protein
  • M&Ms
  • Energy bars
  • Biltong (if you are coming from South Africa) or  Beef Jerky (if you are coming from the US)
  • Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches-WE PROVIDE THESE AS PART OF OUR MENU
  • Fritos
  • Pringles
  • Salami
  • String cheese
