HEALTH: Participants must be fit and in perfect health to undertake any safari. Please refer to Safari Dossier for further information.

VISAS: : It is the client's sole responsibility to ensure that they hold a valid passport and all necessary visas. Passport should be valid for 6 months after completion of safari. Clients must have sufficient cash (USD) on hand for visa where required.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Comprehensive Travel Insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, medical, emergency travel and assistance is compulsory on.

SUMMIT-TRAILS PAYMENTS & CANCELATIONS POLICIES

Cancellations

  • All cancellations should be made in writing and will only be deemed effective upon acknowledged receipt by Summit-Trails Adventures.

Cancellations will be subject to the following penalties:

  • 20% Cancellation fee due for cancellation more than 90+ days prior to departure.
  • 50% Cancellation fee due for cancellation 45 - 90 days prior to departure.
  • 80% Cancellation fee due for cancellation 30 days or less prior to arrival date.

Normal cancellation fees apply if your wish to postpone your departure. Date changes will be treated on an individual basis and will attract an administration fee .

SAFARI JEEPS/CARS/LAND-CRUIZERS

All of our safari Jeeps are equipped with popup roof for shade against African sun; are extended body with roomy seats for comfortable sitting and stretching out legs. Every guest is accessible to window seat. all jeeps are also fitted with fridges, power charge sockets and VHF radio calls for easy and fast communication between the base office. A vehicle in only as good as the driver and drivers are excellent. Each one is custom designed with large photographic roof hatch, extra dust proofing, comfortable seats with seat and canvas covers, fully equipped first aid kits, binoculars, a selection of field guides with bottles of mineral water at no additional cost.

All of our safari jeeps carries a maximum of six passengers so that every passenger is guaranteed a window seat and access to the roof hatch at all times during the safari. We service all of our jeeps after every each safari.

SAFARI GUIDE/DRIVER

Driver guides are all trained naturalists who have more than five years experience with us, they know their way around the parks and are skilled at spotting and identifying wildlife. They are also trained to prepare delicious picnic lunches in the bush, so that you can maximize your game viewing opportunities.

HOW MUCH TO TIP YOUR DRIVER/GUIDE

Generally, you should aim to tip your safari drivers between $25-$50+ per day, also depending on the length of your journey, but if your guide was exceptional, you can certainly give them more.

Day 1: Arrive in Windhoekin the afternoon

Day 2 : Quiver tree Forest, Keetmanshoop, Namibia.

Day 3 : Ghost Town Tour

Ghost Town Tour (Old Geramntown), Luderitz Safaris, Bismarck, Luderitz. Namibia's most famous ghost town, and is situatedin the Sperrgebiet, (forbid denterritory) a few kilometers in land from the port of Luderitz. Day 4 : Namib Desert

Kudu, baboon and leopard can be found in the more rocky regions of there serve. Many reptiless pecies thrive through out and the rich variety of birds which number over 100 species are a draw-card for many.

Day 5 : Namib Desert

Namib Desert/ Sossus Dune Lodge or similar (accommodation, allmeals + ElimDune + Sossusvlei & Sesriem excursion)?Our journey takes us south to the heart of the Namib Desert. In the afternoon we visit Elimd Dune.

The following morning is an early departure for Sossusvlei stopping in the dunebelt to enjoy the changing colours of the world's highest sanddunes.

The morning is spent walking amongst the dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. On the way back to our camp we enjoy a short hike through the Sesriem.

Day 6 : Swakopmund / Eberwe in Hotel or similar

Swakopmund / Eberwe in Hotel or similar (accommodation with breakfast only) Swakopmund, with its German colonial atmosphere, is the principal coastal resort of Namibia. Time is spent at leisure to enjoy the charm of this old town or to undertake one of the many optional activities on the dunes (scenic flights, dunesquad biking, dunes fat tire MT bike, Sand boarding, sledding down the dunes etc. own expense). Extra charges apply, about $30 a day per activity.

Day 7 : Skeleton Coast national park

Isa national park located in north-west Namibia, and has the most in accessibles hores, dotted with shipwrecks. The park wasest ablishedin 1971 and hasasizeof 16,845 km2 (6,504 sq mi).[2] The park is divided in to an or the rnand southern section, the southern section is open to those with 4 wheel drive vehicles. Day 8 - 10 : Visit film house+himba tribe enroute to Etosha National Park

Halali / Okaukuejoor similar (accommodation, all meals + game drives).This Park is one of the most important reserves and games anctuaries in Africa. Thousands of wild animals are at tracted to the area, including lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, elephant, zebra giraffe and several species of antelope. The bird life is prolific with 326 recorded species.

Early morning and late afternoon game drives are enjoyed with the evenings spent watching an amazing diversity of animals around the floodl it water hole border in gour camps

Day 11

Leaving in the morning or afternoonto Windhoek to endour journey.Arrival in Windhoek at mid day or in the evening, dinner at nearby restaurants suchas Joe's Beer House.
